For larger diameter tubes, transfluid's range of mandrel bending machines are unsurpassed in quality and performance.  Tubes 3-1/2" to 4-1/2" dia. with wall thickness of up to 0.750" can be bent with ease.  The DB 40168 is designed for the bending of high alloy steels up to 6-5/8" dia. with a wall thickness of 0.375".  A  booster device reduces the amount of wall thinning.  Alternative to the simple basic manual control, the machines can be equipped with SPS technology and motorized rotary operation, to give 2-axis or CNC operation. With fast tool change over (15 minutes max.) these machines are ideally suited for the large plant and shipyard type environments.  Thinner wall tubes are covered by the "L" series, similar to the build of the "S" series but of lighter construction and  lower cost.  The utilization of wiper dies and ball mandrels, together with controlled mandrel withdrawal, permit quality bending of large diameter tubes with a thin wall.
